With over 20 years of experience in the golf business, PGA Class-A Professional, Kyle Winn is the lead instructor at Golden Gate Park Golf Course. Winn arrived at GGP after serving as Head Professional at Half Moon Bay Golf Links. A self described “golf enthusiast”, Winn developed a deep love for the game at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course (Sacramento, CA) where he first worked in outside services at 16 years old. From there he worked his way through college as an Assistant Professional at Delaveaga Golf Course while majoring in European History at University California Santa Cruz. As an instructor and coach, Winn teaches golfers of all levels and emphasizes sound fundamentals.

A native of Fair Oaks, CA, Johnson had an extensive professional golf career that included a full season on the PGA Tour in 2007 as well as four seasons on the Nationwide Tour (Web.com Tour). Most recently he competed on the Asian Tour (2016) where he finished 92nd on the Order of Merit. As an amateur golfer, he competed in eight USGA events and was twice an All-American at Northwestern University, where he majored in Communication Studies.
Johnson joined the teaching staff at Golden Gate Park Golf Course this past Spring.
In his time away from competitive golf, Johnson coached two years of varsity baseball and one year of varsity golf at Trinity High School. He also was the Assistant Men’s Golf Coach at University California Davis (2015-2016).
“I enjoy teaching a wide variety of players and I pride myself on being able to communicate well with everyone. Golf is a tough game, so my aim is to make it as easy as possible. Everyone is different, so I teach according to what each person brings.”
